Il bragozzo
is one of the most characteristic boats in the lagoon. Between 1700 and
1900 it was very common in the upper part of the Adriatic, where it was
used for fishing. It is thought that it was originally designed in the
boat yards of Chioggia.

A trip into the past discovering treasures

called a Bragosso. In harmony with the
rhythm and the naturalistic environment
around the waters of the lagoon.
We
will take you around to discover an area unique in its
beauty, An natural ecosystem always in balance between the land
and water. We travel through Ghebi (small canals and Sandbanks)
stopping here and there to visit coloured fishermen houses or
antique Monasteries. Not forgetting to taste typical Venetian
cooking in local a Trattoria or aboard our boats.
Along
the way you will be guided by people who live and work in the lagoon
with passion. They will happily show you and explain a variety of
details that you can see, and answer any questions you may be curious
about.
The
boats we use for our trips are: wooden
‘’Bragosso’’. These are ideal for small groups
(maximum 9-12 people) They permit the navigation in and around the
canals, rivers and lagoon. Visiting the natural habitat of local
wildlife, seeing birds such as arions. Giving one the possibility of
taking rare photographs that could make you famous, as well as just
enjoying a sunny day anchored in a Ghebo nibbling on appetizing
‘’Cichetti’’ (Venetian Snacks).

Tour Boats:
A
Bragozzo is 9 metres long. It can accommodate up to 9 people. It is
equipped with seats, sun shades, fridge, maps and information regarding
the lagoon. For larger groups we have a small fleet of Bragozzi
available.
